The Best of The West
You’ll be picked up at the Aspen airport and transported to the hotel. The afternoon is free to rest and prepare for the first ski day.
Morning breakfast and orientation, followed by a full day skiing Aspen Mountain. After skiing, a walking tour of Aspen then dinner at an authentic local place.
Skiing at Aspen Highlands Mountain. A very exciting day which includes a snowcat ride and a short hike to some of the best views of the trip. Skiing is followed by a barbecue and a cocktail party, then it is out for some fun, bars and clubs which are all just a walk away.
Snowmass Mountain. A short 20 minute bus ride to the area’s largest mountain. Experience a true ski meca. After, a free afternoon for individual exploration.
Buttermilk Mountain. A fun beginners mountain that is host to the Winter X-Games where athletes from around the world come to show off their freestyle skills. This is a half day of Alpine skiing which is followed up by Cross-country skiing through the backwoods of Aspen. Dinner is well earned on this day!
Trip to Vail Ski Resort. This is only a taste of this resort as this trip could easily continue on for another week at Vail. The rest of the day is spent shopping ond exploring the outlets of Silverthorne.
We’ll take a deeper look at Aspen Mountain, and uncover some of its secrets devotedly kept by the locals. Free Afternoon.

This is our typical ski trip in Colorado, with a base in Aspen and trips to neighboring ski mountains. It is offered throughout the winter season. Ideal for families and for groups of friends. If you are a single person, a couple, or a family, we will find the right group for you! Just give us the dates and we will start planning for you.
You’ll be picked up at our local Aspen Airport and transported to the hotel. We prefer condominium type accomodations with hotel type services. This gives you the most of the benefits of a hotel, with the comfort and home feeling for the true vacation.
We also offer ground transportation from Denver International Airport. Although a much longer trip, it can be a more reliable way of getting into and out of Aspen in poor weather.
Once you have arrived you will have a free afternoon for rest and preparation for the first ski day. You are going to find a nice welcome package (food and beverages in your condominium, carefully prepared by Croactiva – a little refresher after a long day of travel and to energize for the upcoming first day of skiing.
Morning breakfast and orientation. We are going to spend a little time to get to know each other and to get acquantied with the city of Aspen and its four mountains.
You’ll learn about the city’s history and culture, its stores and shops, transportation services, clubs, restaruants, events, activites, local info systems, and weather reports.
Ski Aspen Mountain – with the gondola located in a midst of the downtown it’s easy to go from anywhere in town to the top of the mountain in minutes. Aspen offers
black diamond glades, bumps and steeps for anyone who dares to step on the gondola.
All Aspenites (meaning, local person) are proud of Aspen Mountain. You’ll get to taste the famous Colorado powder and get to enjoy amazing views of the Rocky Mountain Range.
In the afternoon we’ll explore the town of Aspen and have dinner in one of the restaurants with authentic western food.

Ski Aspen Highlands – locals favorite, with breathtaking views of surrounding Maroon Bells and an abundance of expert terrain and groomed cruisers. You’ll experience the feeling of lightness and floatation, skiing Colorado powder, through towering evergreens…
What to say about famous Highlands Bowl - just a hike up, over the raiser like edge to 12932 ft top of the bowl, with spectacular 14000 ft mountain scenery, will take your spirit to another level – here’s your teacher and Zen Guru to get you in touch with your “inner space” – place of sheer bliss and happines.
The rest of the day we’ll spend around the pool and jacuzzi with a barbecue and cocktail party to celebrate the memorable ski moments experienced at Aspen Highlands.
After party – in one of many Aspen bars and clubs, we are going to taste celebrated Aspen Night Life.
A snowcat ride then a fourty minute hike will take you to the 12,392 ft / 3782 m height and the top of Highlands Bowl.
Ski Snowmass Mountain -
Ten Miles and a twenty minutes drive will take us to one of the largest ski resorts in the world. Comprising of 3128 acres, Snowmass mountain has the most vertical feet top to bottom in the USA.
This Mountain is also known for its wide cruiser runs, its family friendly atmosphere and its extensive ski-in and ski-out lodging. Despite its family reputation, the resort contains several terrain parks and a variety of extreme skiing terrain and mogul runs. In short, Snowmass has it all to satisfy everyone, from beginner to extreme skier.
Sheer magnitude, versatility and beauty of it will make you return to it year after year!
Following the day at Snowmass you will have a free afternoon for individual exploration of the culturally rich town of Aspen.
Ski Buttermilk Mountain -
With gently rolling trails that cater to beginners and families, Buttermilk is known for perfectly groomed slopes, soft powder, and glades. This makes it perfect for learning and perfecting new skills.
With many fun tree trails, secret passages, and on snow features such as the ESPN X-games terrain park can make this spot a “Dream World” and an absolute favorite of youth and kids.
In the afternoon we’ll take a ride up the Castle Creek road to the historic Ghost Town of Aschcroft and then enjoy some Cross-country skiing. With headlamps on your head, wondering through the Aspen tree forest you’ll experience the winter in the Rocky Mountains as it was experienced from its first settlers, the Ute Indians and later on (second half of the 19th century) its first pioneers in search of gold and riches.
Out trip will then end at an original log cabin eatery with a splendid three course dinner.
Ski trip to Vail
This day is an early rise for a two hour drive through the Aspen Valley and amazing Glenwood Canyon to the largest ski resort in North America – Vail. Our drive is going to be interrupted with a few inevitable stops: 1. Breakfast in America, a locals favorite eating spot. 2. A visit to the grave of legendary Doc Holiday in Glenwood Springs.
Then we ski Vail Mountain, with the most groomed terrain on the planet, 4 back bowls, 4 terrain parks, this giant of the Rockies will leave you with only one question: Where do I begin?
Once we are done with skiing, we will take a short ride to Silverthorne. Here is your chance to do a little shopping at the outlet stores with great factory prices.
After a day of traveling around, it is going to feel good to ski right out of your doorstep at Aspen Mountain.
It’s time to take a closer look at Aspen and the ski runs the locals rave about. We start with Bell Mountain and it’s innumerable shoots, then moving over to Ruthie’s and it’s perfect groomers and the Dumps, bumpy, rowdy, steep, with many aspen trees that will get your juices flowing.
Piece of apple strudle at “Bonnies” will give us some energy to continue exploration of Aspen’s backside, magic Pandora’s run, Walsh’s and then over Gentleman’s ridge to the pine tree glades, Bingo shoots.
Free afternoon – maybe it is time to check out some of Aspens museums and galeries or go shopping for gifts and souvenirs, or just rest and rejuvenate for another big day of skiing.
Back to Snowmass
At this point we are ready for some true, big mountain, Colorado skiing! We are going to warm up at the Sam’s knob trail taking a few turns on a trail that is groomed to perfection, and then down the Banzai Ridge to Cony Glade, before we move to the Big Burn for some real bump skiing, which should set us up for the trip to the top of the Cirque at a staggering 12,510 ft / 3,813 m. There you are going to hit the Cirque head wall – with its inexhaustible stashes of Colorado powder and further down the unceasing runs through the pine trees. This is as close to heaven as you will ever be!
After lunch, we are going to get the taste of the real steeps at one of the runs of the famous Head Wall – home of many Extreme Skiing championships, and then, to steady our heartbeat, we’ll spend the rest of the day skiing blues on the rolling hills of Elk Camp area and its famous Long Shot. This trail will bring you through its humble 5.3 miles / 8.5 km of the most incredibly beautiful terrain, which will test the endurance of your legs and your Zigomaticus Major, one of your facial muscles responsible for smiling
The perfect day is going to be celebrated in one of the Aspens most popular restaurants with dinner and a farewell party.
This will be the day to say good bye to one another and to start planning for the next ski vacation at the one and only Aspen Colorado.
After checkout, we will take you to the airport, wish you a safe trip back home and we will look forward to seeing you once more!
